The grand opening of the call centre was held recently and coincided with a new and exciting project for The Times newspaper. Twelve courageous volunteers from GFM dared to bare all for a charity calendar. The birthday-suit lovin' team were photographed by sought after photographer, Daniel Sakal, owner of D&A Photography and son of GFM's CEO, who generously donated his services free of charge for the charitable photo shoot.
MacMillan was the chosen charity as it has special significance for many staff members at GFM, and every year we endeavour to engage in as many charity events as possible. This daring idea was suggested by Finance Assistant, Kirsty Docherty, who also stars in our calendar, which was produced entirely in-house.
We hope to raise lots of funds for this incredibly worthy charity and are proud to be part of something so courageous yet commendable.

Following a successful DRTV response handling campaign for the British Red Cross, GFM have secured this business for the charities March TV Legacy appeal.
To coincide with the TV advert the British Red Cross are running an extensive telemarketing campaign to contact their existing supporters about legacy. The campaign spans four major charity sector telemarketing agencies across the UK and aims to contact over 100,000 supporters. GFM have been appointed as one of these four agencies. A team of fifteen agents will be contacting supporters, conducting one of the UKs largest legacy telemarketing campaigns.

In late December, ITV brought in GFM to manage the transcription services for the ITV Text Santa appeal. The appeal now into its second year provided the opportunity for viewers to text or call to donate.
IVR charity specialists GFM were at hand to transcribe all IVR phone data which is vital for gift aid and auditing purposes. In total Text Santa raised over £5 Million which was shared equally between six UK based charities: Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.

The Irish Sun recently brought in promotional marketing experts GFM to manage their annual SuperStays campaign. The promotion, designed to help readers beat the January blues, provides brilliant breaks in Ireland and Northern Ireland from just €5 between January and April 2013. GFM recruited over 250 overnight providers, created all in-paper coverage and exclusive websites tailored for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. We also secured a partnership with the Irish Rail and Failtè Ireland.
After only a week the promotion outperformed the 2012 promotion, with over 1700 bookings in the Republic of Ireland compared to last year’s total figure of 1,506!

We recently recruited seven national retail partners, including WH Smith, Boden, Paperchase and Crabtree & Evelyn, for the Daily Mail Christmas Retail Week, which launched in-paper on Saturday 17th November.

MK Electrics approached GFM to help manage their Fuel The Nations campaign. GFM targeted electrical retailers, encouraging them to give out voucher booklets to customers who spent £20 or more on MK Electrics and Honeywell products.
The voucher booklet included fantastic food and drink offers from £5 Meal Deals to free bacon rolls, and even the chance to win a £500 fuel voucher. We organised all partnerships, which included Pizza Hut, Frankie and Benny’s, TJ Hughes and Caffe Nero. In total over 7,000 food vouchers were redeemed!

GFM proudly took home the award for 'Outstanding Teamwork' at the Birkett Long £50 Challenge Awards Ceremony. The Birkett Long £50 Challenge saw local businesses attempt to turn an original investment of £50 into as much profit as possible, in order to raise funds for St. Helena Hospice. The judges based their decision on GFM's efforts to involve every member of staff in the fundraising, across a multitude of events.
The challenge ran for a three month period and GFM organised raffles, quiz nights, £1 Fridays, cake sales, a desktop lunch delivery service, two football games and a Stars in Their Eyes event, turning the original £50 investment into a massive £2,250 profit. -

Enthusiastic GFM staff members successfully completed the Birkett Long £50 Challenge, in aid of St. Helena Hospice. This Apprentice-style challenge invited local businesses to turn an original investment of £50 into a profit. Three months later, the GFM team had turned their original £50 investment into a massive £2,250 profit.
To achieve this, the team organised raffles, quiz nights, £1 Fridays, cake sales, a desktop lunch delivery service and two football games. The fund was boosted by a £100 William Hill Charity Bet, picked by GFM's CEO, Peter Sakal. The horse won at 6/1, with the donation adding a whopping £600 to the kitty. A hugely successful Stars in Their Eyes event completed the three-month challenge. -

After the successful management of the WorldSkills 2011 Operational Support Centre, GFM were awarded the contract to run this service for The Skills Show in November 2012, which celebrates the UK’s most talented apprentices and highly skilled young people. GFM provides a Customer Support Team to support visitors, competitors, sponsors, contractors and all delegates affiliated with the event. During the live event a division of our Customer Support Team migrates to the NEC, Birmingham to provide on-site support to the thousands of visitors attending the show.
This is a great addition to our already successful portfolio of contact centre and customer support accounts, and promises to be a great event for all involved. -
